a synthesizer, a samplerand a sequencer. oneinstrument, all black.
OP–XY
the whole instrument is a grid. one row of instruments, one row of steps, and a two-octave keyboard under your fingers. the display keeps everything in grayscale, so the red means one thing: record.
eight synth engines and twenty-four voices, plus a drum sampler, a multisampler and a synth sampler. any engine sits on any of the eight tracks, with four filter types and a send level each.
the sequencer.
every step can carry its own velocity, timing, pitch and up to fourteen components. brain transposes the chord progression underneath, so a pattern keeps reinventing itself while you play.
connect everything.
the right end is an i/o system. amps, headphones, a modular, a drum machine, your laptop, and the mic on the side records straight into a track.
the other side.
the exact footprint of the OP–1 field. an aluminium plate, four feet, two loop pads, and everything it is printed once.
